Practice Gratitude
One of the most effective ways to change your attitude and improve your life is to add a gratitude practice to your everyday routine. Whether you make a list every morning while enjoying a cup of coffee or you discuss what you’re grateful for with your family or spouse every night, focusing on the things that make you smile can cause a ripple effect of positivity in your life. Make a list of 5-10 things that you’re grateful for each day. Try to be specific if you can. Maybe it was watching your daughter dance around the living room or hearing your favorite song on the radio. Changing your mindset can, quite literally, change your life.

The benefits of adding prayer or meditation to your daily routine are similar to those of practicing gratitude. Taking 30 minutes of your day to go for a walk around your neighborhood can check two things off of your new daily routine.
