While holding the device, twist cap a full turn and discard. Do not apply pressure to activation button while removing protective cap. This may prematurely activate the device. 2. Press platform firmly against the sample site and press the activation button. After use, the lancet will automatically retract into the body of device. Dispose of entire device in a suitable sharps container.
