Vitamin D is highly effective when it comes to burning fat. Among other duties, it helps to bring glucose into the cells in your body. The glucose is burned up by the cells, which creates energy. Ideally, you want insulin sensitivity, which refers to how efficiently insulin pushes the glucose into your cells. If your cells are less sensitive, then more fat from calories will cling to them.
